A year into its existence and at its new home of Mint Lounge, PTYD DJ’s continue to provide a plethora of music spanning decades of quality pop from hip hop to indie, disco to rock, r n b to acid house, steering well clear of the cheesier side of the charts.
Digging deep into their libraries, resident DJ’s from the camps of Crazy P and El Diablo’s Social Club (the original founders of the night), alongside other local heroes and don’t knows, hope to take you down a musical memory lane and have you firmly routed to the dancefloor!
There'll be a jukebox request and dedication hour, "projected reflections corner" of TOTP hits gone by and live performances of pop classics from stars of the future plus irregular themed nights!

Melba Moore Comes To Mint Lounge!
US soul singer and actress MELBA MOORE makes her first ever Manchester appearance.
During a long and extremely successful recording career that stretches back to 1970, the New York-born chanteuse has racked up 32 chart entries on Billboard's R&B charts, including two chart toppers in the shape of 'A Little Bit More' (a duet with then label mate, Freddie Jackson) and 'Falling,' both for Capitol Records in 1986.
She also had five UK chart hits; the biggest was 1976's 'This Is It' for Buddah while in the '80s 'Love's Comin' At Ya' made the Top 20 and 'Mind Up Tonight' dented the Top 30. Her music has also been nominated for four Grammy Awards.
For her Manchester debut she will be ably assisted by the DJ skills of Mike Shaft & Peace FM's DJ Devo

The guys from Itchy Feet are returning with an almighty bang on Monday 19th March with very special guests The Correspondents.
They consist of Mr Bruce and Chucks, who collaborate to revamp vintage sounds for the modern ear.
Resuscitating sampled relics with squelchy synths over dusty drum loops they've depicted the trials and errors of Love, Lust and Loss over a foot-tapping toe curling amalgamation of Electro, Drum ‘n’ Bass, Swing and Boogie Woogie.

Itchy Feet's Valentines Party will be welcoming a very special guest in the form of Mr B!
On a one-man mission to introduce Hip-Hop to the Queen's English, Mr. B is delighted to present Chap-Hop.
Having spent the best part of a decade bringing some manners back to popular culture, this dopest of fellows will entertain and amuse you with his ingenious stylings.
Aiming to dazzle with dignity, Mr. B takes to the stage with his Banjolele and stiff upper lip to perform ditties of pipe-smoking, high society, Cricket and sexual misadventure, as well as some more well-known pieces from the world of Hip-Hop, re-worked in true Chap-Hop fashion.
Mr.B has fast gained a reputation as an eloquent and entertaining live performer, playing recitals across the UK and into Johnny Continent for the past two years from the Glastonbury Festival to club NME in Paris, from the club in Surrey to the Edinburgh fringe.
His recent video 'Chap-Hop history' received over 100,000 hits in its first week on youtube. He has just guested on banjolele and vocals on US nerdcore rapper MC Frontalot's album 'Zero Day'.

Funkademia - 16 Years Under A Groove
With Graeme Hawley & Disco Mums
On the 12th November Funkademia will celebrate its 16th birthday with a party at Mint Lounge, Manchester featuring Graeme Hawley & Disco Mums on the decks.
They're not normally renowned for getting on guest dj’s at Funkademia but they thought they’d push the boat out to celebrate becoming the longest running weekly night in Mancunian clubland this year.
Graeme Hawley is best known for playing John Stape in Coronation Street, but what a lot of people don’t know is that he also a fantastic DJ. He’s played for Funkademia over the summer at Wickerman Festival, Ramsbottom Festival and also took control of our Baby Funk room.
His love of all things funky is sure to light up this birthday party! Supporting him in the main room will be one of our favourite resident DJ’s, Les Croasdaile.
In the Baby Funk room we welcome Disco Mums who make their Funkademia debut. They are an all female Manchester based DJ collective who play a vinyl only set of sly gems, treasured classics and bombs from the disco.
As a special treat the first 100 ticket buyers will receive a limited edition CD of our resident DJ’s favourite tracks. The other 500 or so will get a limited edition button badge.
Funkademia have come a long way from the very first night back in the 1995 at the Boardwalk and with the continued support of 18,000 members they intend to keep on keeping on for a while longer yet.

In May we played host to 'Sweet Sensation' v. 'Funkademia' which was one of the highlights of the year, lovely and busy with a friendly, all-night dancing atmosphere!
The guys behind Funkademia & Dave Haslam have hurried to get another joint night scheduled which will take place on Saturday 24th July.
